ArtFind is about finding the extraordinary in the art world and bringing it to my client’s attention.
Art dealers and gallerists have continuously remarked that I have a great eye and a knack for zeroing in on their best pieces. With twenty-five years honing my eye towards finding outstanding, exceptional works, I’ve also gained a solid perspective avoiding the influences and hype that can be intensified in the art market.
I do the time-consuming scout work, connecting you with what I have found on my sojourns to the internationally acclaimed fairs and special exhibitions such as Masterpiece in London, Art Basel Switzerland, Frieze Art Fair, The Armory Show, The International Fine Art & Antiques Fair, the Venice Biennale, AIPAD, and to galleries and private dealers who show only the best of the best.
A certain dauntless energy and determination is required to find the most compelling works. Particularly at fairs, there is much on view that may confuse, confound and distract especially amidst Contemporary art where the buzz around the work may be obfuscating reason.
Then there is that moment when you discover something very new and different, its significance immediately apparent, but it’s been overlooked.
For me, sorting through all of this is exhilarating and exciting. For the client, I am going to show them something singular every time from my “finds.”
This fervent passion for finding the best works from eminent masters, mid-career, emerging and groundbreaking artists has resulted in my clients' appreciation of my efforts and perseverance and for saving them valued time.
While many advisors focus on the ascent of the market for a particular artist or work, I prefer to focus on the uniqueness, the rarity, the “livability” factor, and often just the salient beauty of the work. My abiding passion for immersing myself in the art viewing experience to discover the standout piece, means that I consistently find the client art works that are exceptional in every aspect.
None of the art movements are off the table; Old Masters, Modern & Contemporary Painting and Sculpture, Works-on-Paper, Photography and Video, plus the extraordinary in the world of rare books, furniture, and decorative objects of superb quality are all in my bailiwick.
